This summer we took a much-needed trip back home to California. It's been so long since we have been home, I really missed it! I was so excited to fly, I hate the 14 hour dive. We flew into LAX and spent a few days with my family in Ontario.
I love being with family. We put in a good amount of bike riding together.
We ate brunch at Molly's Souper in Upland. It is an absolutely adorable breakfast and lunch restaurant. The weather was perfect. I'm definitely going back.
My gorgeous younger sister, Stevie. She has so much style, I hope some of it rubbed off on me.
Andrew and my dad spent a few hours fixing up the 30-somthin' year old tandem bike. We road it all around town, and later on in Huntington Beach.
While in California, we celebrated Andrew's 25th birthday, holy cow time flies. Not that you're old Andrew. We celebrated half the day in Ontario, and half in San Diego.
Andrew and his papito. His dad grilled steak AND ribs for Andrew's big day.
Birthday boy!
We spent time in Coronado with Andrew's parents. I seriously love riding bikes, I'm glad we got to do that so much on our trip.
Behind us: downtown San Diego.
The last bit of our trip we spent in Shell Beach, California. Which is right next to Pismo Beach. My cousin, Brendan, and his wife, Nicole, invited us to spend time with them at a beautiful beach house. It was three houses down from the beach, and we were loving it!
Morro Bay, California.
I loved seeing all the cute beach towns and we found a street fair every night we were there. It was so much fun shopping, dancing, and eating great food.
Mermaid + Pirate = "Arrrr, part of your world."
Kayaking in the Pacific.
Can a one-person kayak work as a two-person kayak? Not really. (See video below).
Can't wait to visit again.
Andrew and Brendan: two person kayaking and street fair dancing. I can't pick a favorite.

First off... Cute re-do of the blog!! And I had no idea all the stuff you guys did in California, looks so fun! The beach house had to have been awesome. Miss you guys!
