Fall Festivities

Here are just a few pictures about what's been happening in the Fall...

We celebrated my old roomie's birthday! There was a surprise party at Buffalo Wild Wings for Katie girl. Her husband planned the whole thing and she had no idea. They live in Provo so we were all so happy to see her again!

We had a little game night (that's what happens when we can't be going outside all the time anymore) with the Turner's and Stephanie, and our neighbors.

These are our neighbors, Mandy and Nate. They are so awesome, we're so happy to have such nice people living next door. Mandy works with me and Nate works with Andrew. Funny how that worked out.

And I'm not surprised by Andrew's face in this picture.

Andrew's Bike Project

After we went to California and visited with my brother Andrew (who loves bikes), my husband Andrew wanted to build his own fix gear bike. (I have to specify between the two Andrews... my family just calls my husband "Little" Andrew or Brittany's Andrew).

The beginning stages of Andrew's bike. He got some parts from a bike shop and some online, but he hand-picked everything.

The only thing missing is the chain.

Andrew got a little bit of help from our friend Jacob, and from my brother, but he did a lot on his own. I was so impressed. (That's right, my husband still impresses me... often).

Now we have two bikes, so we can take them out together!

Salt Lake Trip

I am going to be posting back a few months because I am so behind! I was student teaching and working so I didn't have much time to post. I'll post about my totally awesome student teaching experience later.

Andrew and I took a trip to Salt Lake to visit my cousin and some friends. We had so much fun, and it was a much needed vacation before I began my student teaching. We enjoyed being with Brendan and Nicole, even if we're just sitting around... we always have fun with these guys.

While we were down we also visited our friends Kyle and Sharon. They graduated from school already so they moved away from Rexburg. It was so nice to see them again! This picture was taken on top of the Conference Center. It was such a warm day in Salt Lake and we were lovin' it.

California Vacation

Andrew and I were so excited to take a trip back to beautiful cal-i-forn-I-A in August. It's so nice to see our families and to enjoy the weather and, of course, the beach. We started our trip by attending Tara Fullmer and Garrett Radmall's sealing in Redlands. We're so excited for them and that we were able to go.

The next day was our annual family reunion in Ontario. It was so much fun, to say at the least. We took family pictures first.

For our family reunion, we went to the park and had a BBQ. We reserved the pool and went swimming for some of the day.

I took this video of the fam playing water polo, I wasn't in the water because Andrew and I had to leave to San Diego for his cousin's wedding later on.

So this is what I did. Danielle, Scott's totally awesome girlfriend, kept me company.

We left for San Diego that same Saturday for Matt and Kelly's wedding. Kelly is Andrew's cousin and a lot of Andrew's family lives in San Diego, so it's always a party when they get together... a big one.

We danced a ton (Andrew's family are definitely dancers... just like mine), and we ate Sprinkles cupcakes. Oh my goodness, they were the best cupcakes I have ever tasted! Thanks for choosing those Kelly.

Since we took our vacation pretty close to our one year anniversary, my mom AND my mother-in-law surprised Andrew and I with our wedding cake they saved for us. You guys are so thoughtful, thanks so much! It still tasted great!

Andrew and I at the Pacific Beach. Andrew's favorite game to play at the beach (while not surfing) is "pushing Brittany in the water," or at least splashing me a ton. I like that game too, it gets me back in shape from running everywhere. He won in the end.

Andrew's always happy when he gets a little surfing in (since it only happens a few times a year). And I am always more than happy to join him. Not surfing, just at the beach :) This picture was at La Jolla, I love this beach. It's also right next to where Andrew proposed to me.

Getting a little sun... or a lot. This is right before Andrew's little cousin's baptism. He has a lot of little cousins and I love getting to know them more. I really feel apart of the family!

For the last bit of our trip, we spent some time with MY cousin, Brendan, and his new wife, Nicole. They are so great and we always have a good time with them. We got some Ben & Jerry's and had a fun time at Victoria Gardens in Rancho Cucamonga.

Stevie came with us for the fun as well. Love you sis!

Anniversary and Andrew's Birthday

Andrew and I shared our one year anniversary on July 31st. We shared a wonderful day together and decided to take a trip to Salt Lake later on in the week. My cousin Brendan got married on Andrew's birthday in Salt Lake City so we were able to go to their sealing. It was so awesome, we're so happy for Brendan and Nicole.

Andrew's Birthday was August 4th so we enjoyed the William's sealing in the morning and then went to Park City later on to spend some time together. We love that place, and I love the outlet stores. We went to Salt Lake for dinner at PF Changs (which we really think tastes better in California, and that's not just because we're partial). After we just enjoyed a walk around downtown Salt Lake, which we are beginning to love!

The next day we headed back to Idaho, it was a short trip. But on the way we stopped at Lava Hot Springs. The weather was perfect for the water park.

These water slides don't look that big and scary, but when you're at the top they do! I was a little scared but promised Andrew I would give it a go. When the 6 and 7 year olds went down screaming, I was hoping it was because they were having lots of fun. And it WAS really fun!

That pretty much ended our trip for Andrew's birthday/our anniversary, which was a while ago, but won't be forgotten. I la la la love you!

Goodbyes

I knew this time would be coming, but it's still sad when everyone moves on and moves away. Kyle and Sharon moved from Rexburg, but not too far so we can still see them. We had an absolute delish dutch oven dinner with them, the Purcell's, and the Turner's before they left. Now Natalie and Mark are moving away too! But I'm so happy for everyone. We're all grown up.

Graduation

College graduation = awesome.

It feels so great to be finishing with everything! I technically don't get my diploma until December when I finish student teaching... then I will be an official carrier of a bachelor's of science in elementary education. It was wonderful to have my family with me and I'm glad they were able to come. After being able to finish four years of college, I actually want to do more. We'll see what happens though.

More Summer Happenings

This summer has been really fun, it really is my favorite time of year. It's nice to be done with school for a little while. We've been working a lot, but you have to make time for some fun! Andrew's mom came to visit us for a weekend. We went to the park (of course... we really like the park).

LOVE snow cones. We try to eat them as much as possible. We had to take Joan to try some delciousness.

The firework stands were still open so we bought some fireworks. It was a little windy, but I sure love fireworks.

We had a bonfire with our friends. This is in the Purcell's backyard, they have an awesome pit (and a backyard)!

I was trying to convince Ellie to share the chocolate bar. I seriously love Hershey's chocolate. That's the only part of the s'more I eat. Ellie likes it too, apparently.

It looks like we're in the forest, but that's just how Idaho looks.

My little sister, Stevie, is here to visit us! She's so much fun, I always miss her when she's away. We went to the new water park in Rexburg. It was just the girls because husbands had to work. It was still fun though.

The water park is really nice for an area that has snow 8 months out of the year.

We went to the Sandbar, but the weather wasn't as nice as it was earlier in the week. The Hadley's and the Turner's joined us, along with Stevie of course. The Sandbar is just at the side of the River in St. Anthony. And the water is freezing!

There's a diving board. I couldn't do it, it was just too cold.

Fourth of July Weekend

Fourth of July was so fun! We had a really nice weekend. Starting out with dinner at the Turners. We also watched Independence Day because that's our tradition and because we love that movie.

On Fourth of July we went to the park to do some grillin'. It was a really beautiful day to be outside.

Later that night we set off some fireworks outside our apartment (sorry neighbors), I think it is WAY more fun than just watching fireworks.

This picture cracks me up. Andrew started chasing me with that right after this picture.

I felt like Harry Potter. And yes, I got Andrew back for chasing me with shooting sparks.

I know, I look silly. I was just getting ready to make a quick get-a-way.

Just little guys... but so fun! And later that night there was a lightning storm in the distance. It added really well to the fireworks everyone was setting off around town.

Summer Happenings

I haven't posted in quite a while, so I will be catching up on the summer happenings and great stuff that's been going on! Andrew and I have been extremely busy as we finish out the semester, almost there!

Birthday!

My birthday was on June 9th (yeah, a little while ago), and it was a great day! I still had to go to school and do homework, but I only had one class and I didn't have to work! I share my birthday with Markie (obviously), my Dad, and my Aunt so it has always been a special day to share. Now I get to share all my days with Andrew and I love it.

We did all my favorite things. We shopped, went to dinner, ate my favorite dessert, and enjoyed our time together!We ate my absolute favorite dish at the Thai food restaurant in town for dinner. Mmm, I love the panang curry chicken, I seriously crave it all the time.

When I woke up on my birthday (I still had to wake up at like 6 a.m.), I found these babies from Andrew. They were dangling above me in their soft case from our ceiling fan. I started laughing when I saw them, then I woke up Andrew to show him how they looked on me. It doesn't matter what time of day it is, he always makes me feel beautiful. I've always loved these shades and Andrew obviously knew that. I wear them all the time, I'll be sad when it's winter time again.

Later that evening we had a little birthday celebration. We got my favorite frozen yogurt at Kiwi Loco. I'm so glad I was able to celebrate with family and friends in Idaho, you guys are the best.

Rainy Days

Don't bring us down!

We enjoyed a totally awesome bonfire with friends. It was a little rainy, but the clouds held back until we were done eating. We roasted some hotdogs and marshmallows. My favorite. I actually don't like s'mores that much just the roasted marshmallows, but Andrew is a professional s'more maker.

Natalie and Mark have an awesome little yard! There is plenty of room to play. Andrew and Kyle playing frisbee I think, we also joined in to throw the football around.

We're pretty much used to making sure we have fun no matter what the weather is like outside, and it is always changing in Idaho. Luckily there hasn't been any snow for a while... you never know.

Afternoon Outing

Andrew and I love spending time together, I guess that's a good thing when you're married. We took a trip to Pocatello and ate at Costa Vida with our friends, Jami and Aaron, and Nat and Mark in Pocatello. We make the hour trip there to visit Jami and Aaron and to stop at Costco, but mainly to visit because Jami and Aaron are so cool. It's always a good time. And the drive is always fun and quick with the Purcell's along! We take turns picking our favorite songs, because we have a lot of favorite music in common.

Midnight 5K

Running at midnight. Who knew it could be so fun?! Only with this gorgeous guy.

Well, I gave it a try. Andrew wanted to run the Midnight 5K, which he has done before no problem. I, however, am more of a swimmer than a runner, so it was not as easy for me. He ran next to me the whole time, even though he could have been finished way before me. He's a great little motivator and an awesome running partner.

P.S. We've been married for 10 months today!

That's what I'm talkin' about.

Wednesday Afternoons

Andrew and I have been beyond busy lately, with school, work, homework, and everything else. When the weather is nice, however, we can't resist going outside and taking a break. Andrew lets me ride his bike (after I lower the seat) and he rides his skateboard, or sometimes we'll just walk.

We rode to Kiwi Loco, the new frozen yogurt place here. It is also my new favorite frozen yogurt place, it's so delicious! Afterwards we stopped at the park to soak up some much needed sunlight.

I LOVE this picture. The best part about this picture is that it was totally candid. I just looked up and snapped a shot. That's my husband and he makes me happy :)

Back to School

Andrew and I have begun school again together. We both love school and learning, but we will always prefer going to the park or taking a walk way before homework, especially during Spring semester. This semester will be very busy for us both. I am teaching in a practicum class 3 full days a week and Andrew has a full schedule.

Markie got into the Nursing program at BYUI! It was a well deserved acceptance, we don't know anyone who deserved this more than her. She looks so official in her scrubs.

Stephanie is back in Rexburg with us again! She is practically Ellie's aunt as well, so we all love to visit her cute little face often.

This is my picture of Andrew preparing for school. He's such a hard worker, and he rides his bike almost every day. Notice the shorts and sandals? I know I say this a lot... but YAY for Spring! Seriously. He also has a sweet little tan line from his riding trip with his dad.

Earlier I said I was in a practicum class. This means I am in an elementary school teaching three full days a week. I am in Idaho Falls at an awesome little elementary school with a class full of 27 of the cutest third graders you've ever seen. I love it, but it can be exhausting with work and homework in other classes.

Easter Weekend

Easter weekend was absolutely perfect. The weather was the best we've seen in a long time! On Saturday Andrew and I, the Turner's, and the Hadley's all went to the park to enjoy the weather. We barbecued, played some basketball, and enjoyed one another's company.

It should be a crime to stay inside on a day like this. Rexburg has quite a few parks that we like to visit or walk to. They are even making a community water park that opens at the end of May. We're stoked.

I love this totally candid picture. I took it right when Andrew yelled, "Brittany! I found a horcrux!" (that's what he is looking at on the ground... I think it was a necklace). He knows how much I love Harry Potter. I still laugh just thinking about it.

The girls joined in a played basketball with them for a little while, but I just wasn't wearing the right shoes.

On Easter Day Andrew and I came up with our own little family tradition. We decided to make each other's Easter basket. It was fun and it made me feel like a little girl again. In the afternoon, Andrew and I took a walk because we just couldn't resist the sunshine. Later on that night, we headed over to Markie and Tristan's for a delicious dinner.

Andrew with the Easter basket I put together for him. I got him all his favorites: Robin's Eggs, Skittles, Starbursts, Clif Bars, Runts, Reese's, and Reese's Pieces!

And Andrew got me all my favorites! CHOCOLATE! And peanut M&Ms. Yum! I'm still like a little kid when it comes to sweets. He also got me that totally cute shirt that I'm wearing.

Goodbye Party

Our Friends, David and Bree, are moving (aka the Clukey Monsters-- get it? like the Cookie Monster). And so, the first of our friends are gone. I sure hope we see them again. We had a goodbye party, and a goodbye dinner. We played a fun game of Cranium, which Kyle and Sharon won. But Andrew and I were so close and winning most of the game! Oh well.

Next time I'll try to sandwich instead of tasting Andrew's. And maybe next time we'll stop by at the frozen yogurt shop that is right next door. Oh Rexburg.

Pocatello

Andrew and I had a lot of fun heading down to Pocatello a few weeks ago. Our good friends Jami and Aaron were having a birthday party for their 3 year old son Ezra. Ezra is the cutest and says the funniest things. We love to visit them!

We ate at Costa Vida (it's a lot like Cafe Rio, you decide which you like better).

This is the birthday boy, Ezra! Andrew and I had so much fun playing with him and his little brother Kazdin. Jami and Aaron throw fun parties, and the Costco cake was delicious!

Andrew Gets a New Bike

Andrew and I are both back to school! Yay! At the end of this semester I will be walking, I won't be technically graduated until after I student teach in the Fall. Andrew only has a little bit longer than I do.

We are both so excited for Spring to finally be here, and we're hoping for good weather quickly. So... we got Andrew a bike! Not just because bikes are fun, but because it will help save on extremely high gas prices. Tristan also got a bike, it was their idea together. Andrew rides to school some days, even though it is still on the cold side. He's wonderful. I'm hoping to get my bike from home up here so that we can take bike rides together.

Before we bought the bike, Andrew had to try a couple of them out. He rode up and down the aisles for at least 15 minutes and I was cracking up. He's a good bike rider so he didn't hit anyone but he did leave a little tire skid mark on the tile as a souvenir.

Bonfire

Whenever the weather doesn't bring rain or snow or temperatures below 30, we like to be outside. Andrew and I had a little bonfire with Kyle and Sharon, although it was a little windy (but at least it wasn't snowing).

Kyle and Andrew put the fire together, but eventually we had to use some lighter fluid because the wind was picking up and blowing out our little fire.

It was a little smoky, but warm! We roasted some marshmallows and made s'mores. This time we tried using Reese's for the chocolate, Andrew always has creative ideas. Another fun night in Rexburg, Idaho.

Costco Weekend

I don't know about you, but we love Costco. We go every once in a while because it's about an hour away in Pocatello. My favorite part is the Costco hotdogs, Mmm! Every time we head to Pocatello, we meet up with our good friends Jami and Aaron. They have two totally fun little boys and it's always a good time. This time Markie, Tristan, and Ellie joined us. The more the merrier. After our trip to Costco, we went over to Jami and Aaron's to roast some s'mores.

I mostly love eating the chocolate. Andrew likes to toast every part of his s'more, even the graham cracker and chocolate... he usually ends up dropping one part of it in the fire, and I laugh every time.

Tristan is holding Ellie, although you can't really see her. This was her first bonfire, and it was pretty cold outside (like always).

There is already some marshmallow in Andrew's mouth before the s'more is even complete.

Jami and Aaron's backyard is so cool, they also have an awesome garden. Andrew and I are going to help out with it warms up.

Cake Boss

I was at work one day and texted Andrew on a quick break to see how he was doing. All he said was that he was baking like Buddy. I came home to this:

Homemade French bread. It was super delicious and went really well with the Manicotti we made the next day, which is one of Andrew's favorite dishes and his mom gave us the recipe.

When I got home I also found Andrew in the process of making Cinnamon Rolls. And who doesn't love those? This was before they went into the oven.

Chef Andrew baking like Buddy. Cake Boss is one of my absolute favorite shows to watch. I think it is because I love cake! Buddy is the Boss on Cake Boss. And Andrew is now a baker as well as a chef.

Family Feud

Welp, I'm feelin' good. I have been sick for the past two weeks. It started out as a cold, but ended up as a sinus infection. I've never had one of those before, and I hope I never get it again. Poor Andrew has been taking care of me and I certainly wasn't very much fun. He's so good. Now that I'm feeling better on my antibiotics, we've spent more time with friends.

Family Feud is my favorite Wii game. Mainly because we can all play together. We've also enjoyed couples tournaments playing NBA Jam, but mainly the boys like to team up and play each other.

Tristan and Markie are missing in these pictures, but they were there for the next time we played Family Feud. This first time, girls won... but the next time we played, the boys won :( It's always fun though!

Waffle Party!

Andrew and I had our friends over for some breakfast for dinner on a Sunday night. We brought ingredients and toppings to share, and enjoyed some delicious waffles made by Chef Andrew.

The goods. I love love love strawberries and bananas, and of course Markie covered her waffles in Nutella.

Iron Chef Andrew. I asked for chocolate chips in mine. He also added oatmeal and pumpkin before... he's very creative.

Kyle and Sharon made some mint hot chocolate with their hot chocolate maker. It went perfect with the waffles and the cold weather outside.

After, we played a game of monopoly. Sharon won, and no one stood a chance.

Ellie Christine

A few weeks ago, we had a weekend dedicated to Ellie. She is the cutest little girl I've ever seen. I wanted to post a few pictures of her, because Andrew and I spend a lot of time with her and Tristan and Markie, we've even babysat her a couple times. We are so happy to have such an awesome little niece.

This is just hours after she was born, we couldn't believe how tiny and beautiful she was, (and still is).

I help her stop crying and rock/pat/bounce her to sleep. We tilt our heads the same way, haha!

Baths are her favorite, and they are my favorite too because she is so happy! She just talks away and that's usually when I see her smile the most. Markie and Tristan are the best at getting her to smile though.

Andrew is really great with Ellie too, she looks so tiny when he holds her. She drools or spits up all over him sometimes, but it never bothers him. She also loves to kick those tiny little feet, it's so stinkin' cute.

I was so happy that my family was able to come to Idaho and visit! It was a bit of a change for them because there was snow everywhere!

I made banana bread for the occasion. This was my first solo attempt at banana bread, I've made a lot of zucchini bread, but it's not the same. It turned out well, even my mom and dad liked it!

Stevie stayed the weekend with Andrew and I at our apartment. She's the best. And she painted my toe nails! I love her creativity, anything I can think up, she'll try.

Our family went to Craigo's Pizza while they were here. It's one of our favorite places to eat in Rexburg, but then again, there aren't many choices. But even Ellie likes it there! Why is it so good? Because of their dessert pizza!

Spring: Hurry!

Springtime is almost here! That means the snow is melting, which means there are lots of icicles! I think they look so cool, because I've never seen icicles like this!

That's right outside our apartment! They've gotten even longer.

Andrew likes to "harvest" the icicles for me. It's like bringing home flowers. Yeah, I think it's that cool.

I went to a bridal shower for my good friend Katie, who will be getting married in April. I was able to get a few pictures with my girls:

Markie and I... She looks so good after having little Ellie. She says having a baby is the best diet she's ever been on. You should try it. haha!

The original 6. We lived together for years, until one by one we were married. Markie, Me, Katie, Randee, Sharon, and Natalie. They're awesome.

This is at Natalie's bridal shower a year and a half ago. You can tell it was summer, we just got back from the lake and were fried. I was dating Andrew at the time, and took this picture just a couple hours before:

And it just keeps getting better. I love this boy more and more everyday, even when you think you couldn't possibly love someone even more. That is how you know you want to grow old with someone.

Rewind

Winter:

I know that this is long overdue, but I wanted to post some pictures from Thanksgiving and Christmas (before I had a blog). Andrew and I both worked during Thanksgiving break (we have the whole week off from school) so we were just able to take a couple days and go down to Logan, Utah for Thanksgiving. Andrew's grandparents, who recently returned home from their mission in London, England, live in a beautiful house in Logan. It is only about 3 hours from Rexburg, which is so nice. His grandparents are so generous and love having family over, so it was a full house for Thanksgiving.

Andrew, Stephanie, and I celebrating Thanksgiving with family in the beautiful snow. We rode quads around for a little bit but it was just too stinkin' cold. We couldn't pass up the chance altogether though. My face, hands, and legs were numb after our ride. Frostbite is real.

This is Andrew jumping into to some snow, I was cracking up when I saw I got this shot of him. There was so much snow, and it is sunny outside in the picture but the temperature was in the single digits.

Andrew and his little cousin (he has a lot!... it took me a while to learn all their names) playing in the snow. His little cousins like to chase him around the house and I like to laugh. Andrew just looks so cute in this picture.

We had a delicious Thanksgiving dinner with Andrew's family (it was only his dad's side of the family and his parents weren't able to be there because they were celebrating in California). Big families are so much fun!

Andrew's grandparents have a tradition of making gingerbread houses the day after Thanksgiving (aka Black Friday, and yes Andrew and I did get up at 4 a.m. to shop with his two aunts. It was actually really fun even though we only got a couple things). We just woke up from a nap, you can kind of tell in the picture.

The gingerbread houses after, I just tried to get as much candy on there as I could. Andrew was more creative, he used circus animals as stonework on the walls and even has a telephone wire.

I love spending time with my family and I also love Andrew's family, it really works out. I'm so glad that he's from San Diego because it makes things easier when celebrating holidays because our families are so close. Christmas was awesome to say at the least. We spent half our time in San Diego and half our time in Ontario. Then on our way back up to school we stopped in Park City, Utah.

Basically we had two Christmas's, one with Andrew's family and one with mine. I felt like a kid all over again!

We're looking at our wedding book that was made for us as a gift... so thoughtful!

On Christmas Eve we made a quick trip to Huntington Beach with my little sister Stevie. It was so nice to be in the warm, beautiful weather because we miss it when we're in Idaho! It rained a ton when we were in California, but not this day. On Christmas day we were able to talk to my little brother Mickey, who is serving a mission in Cleveland, Ohio. I love him so much and I sure do miss him.

Andrew loves to snowboard, and so do his cousins. We met up with them in Park City for a couple days. The Pulsipher's are awesome people, we are so glad they let us stay with them on their annual family snowboarding trip.

Valentine's

Some people need big fancy gifts, some people just need a little bit of the good stuff from the ice cream man.

Just to make things clear, I usually don't get the low fat stuff, but Andrew said that was all they had left so I was grateful (to say at the least). Half baked is by far my most favorite ice cream in the Milky Way. I started to get worried that Ben & Jerry's stopped making it because I could never find it anywhere, and now it's in my freezer. YAY! Andrew knows me so well...

Andrew and I ate at Texas Roadhouse for our dinner, and good thing we called in ahead of time otherwise the wait would have been almost two hours... that's Valentine's Day for ya. See those bread rolls in front of me? They are the BEST part about the food there, yum! And guess who just happened to be sitting right behind us when we were seated... David and Bree! David and Andrew are friends from home in San Diego. They were roommates when Andrew and I met and when David and Bree met so we see each other a lot when we hang out with our "married San Diego friends" up here. Plus, they are really fun to play games with!

It was so fun to run into them, but then again Rexburg and the general Idaho Falls area is about ten times smaller than where I'm from so you run into people you know a lot, there are only so many choices of restaurants (not that I'm complaining, I do love it here). Andrew and I enjoyed our night together.

In the end, the only thing that matters is that I get to go to sleep with the most perfect man. From the words of Alicia Keys, "Some people want diamond rings, some just want everything. But everything means nothing... if I ain't got you."

Feelin' the Love

Can you feel it?! I sure hope so. Love is something everybody needs in life, and if you don't have it yet... don't worry! It will come. I have had an awesome Valentine's weekend. Andrew and I went with some very good friends to Lava Hot Springs, which is about an hour and a half drive, but totally worth it. The hot pools are heated naturally and they are most popular when there is snow on the ground, like right now. You'll probably hear more about Natalie and Mark, Sharon and Kyle, Markie and Tristan, because we are together a lot. They are awesome peeps.

Last Valentine's Day I was engaged to Andrew and he flew down and surprised me because I hadn't seen him since Christmas. I never thought there could be a better Valentine's Day, but every day is so much fun with Andrew. He makes me happier than I ever thought I could be. Here's to him!

Six Months!

I am

completely in love

with this man.

That's right, today Andrew and I have been married for 6 whole months! In the long run, that is not very long, but I feel like I've known Andrew for a whole lot longer and now I wonder how I ever lived without him. We celebrated our anniversary by enjoying a dinner together and then making dessert with each other at home.

You can't really see the food on the table, but it was delicious! Props to the waitress for getting this snapshot.

This is what happened: I was using Andrew's laptop, which was a Dell, and it froze. That's when the blue screen of death appeared (as Tristan would say, and he would know). And now that computer is completely broken and we couldn't recover anything from the hard drive, which was a bummer. In the end, we decided it was time to try a Mac, hopefully this works better for us.

Yellowstone Adventure

A little while ago, Andrew, Stephanie (Andrew's sister), and I took a trip to Yellowstone National Park. We went in through the west entrance, which is in Montana, and exited in Wyoming at the Grand Teton National Park (which is just as beautiful as Yellowstone), and stopped by Jackson Hole on the way back. Jackson, Wyoming is a very small town, but it is known for some of the best snowboarding and skiing around. If you haven't been, I would highly recommend visiting. Here are some pictures from our fun adventure.

Eruption right behind us! It lasted about a minute, but it's different every time. Somehow we got center court seats even though there were tons of people there before us. People were probably waiting for an hour but we only had to wait like 5 minutes. There was this family right next to us with some younger boys and after it happened the little boy said, "That was it?!" Haha! We were dying.

We also ate at Bubba's BBQ while we were there, but I wasn't too impressed. I like Famous Dave's in Idaho Falls a lot more. They bring out big meals on a trash can! Now doesn't that make you want to eat there?

Our First Week

Catching up a little bit, here are some of our honeymoon pictures... we forgot our cameras, so these were all taken on Andrew's Iphone, not too bad. For the first half of our honeymoon we stayed in Ventura, California. The last few days were spent in San Clemente, California. That is definitely our favorite! Andrew loves to surf (and I love to watch), so of course we stopped by Trestles Beach, which was like a 2 mile walk from the nearest parking. It was fun, especially in sandals and especially with Andrew. This was the view from our balcony in Ventura, I was in Heaven.

We rode bikes up the coast and stopped at Ben & Jerry's for some delicious ice cream!

It just so happened that right in the middle of our honeymoon, Andrew turned the big 2-3! We had the best birthday party ever. We went to the fair and ate at our favorite restaurant, PF Changs.

Well now I really miss summer.

Welcome!

Andrew and I have finally decided to join the blog world! We have a lot of adventures to share and more on the way. By way of introduction, Andrew and I were married on July 31, 2010. The best day of our lives, and certainly one never to be forgotten. We were sealed in the Newport Beach, California Temple. We chose this one because it felt right, and now it is our temple.

The day was absolutely perfect, I stayed up the night before until about 1 am finishing up all my packing and I slept perfectly. I got up at 5:30 am to get my hair done and was at the temple by 8:30 to be sealed at 10. I wasn't nervous one single bit because I knew my life was only going to get better from that point on. And it did. We had a wonderful family luncheon and then a reception where we danced the night away. Our first dance was to Mason Jennings, one of our favorites because it reminds us of our first summer together.

Our cake was red velvet... our favorite. It was beautifully made by a long time friend, Denise Teeter. Our pictures were taken by a very good and old friend, Tara Fullmer. She is only a little bit older than me, but she sure is amazing. Andrew and I left for our honeymoon around 9 pm. We spent a week together in the warm California sunshine playing on the beach. I can't imagine anything better.
